Hope you’re all keeping good! Today, when I was scrolling through Twitter, I saw this hashtag called “world mental health day” trending! So, I was wondering why not share a few things which have helped my days get better!
1. Make a change
Recently, I told you guys how overwhelming things were getting for me. That is when I decided I’ll do something to keep myself occupied with positive thoughts. I downloaded this application called “21 days”. The basic ideology is that anything you do for a continuous period of 21 days, they turn into a habit. So, I thought why not give it a try. It had a bunch of challenges, around 15 I guess; which we’ll have to complete every day. Sadly, I didn’t get the time to do it for more than 2 days.
Even after I abandoned that poor little thing, it keeps popping up with sweet messages which have always made me feel better! So, I’m going to attach a few of those messages which you can save in case you’re going through a hard day or a rough patch!
2. Never “sleep on it”
I always go to bed hearing some mild music to declutter all the thoughts that keep running the whole day. People usually say “Give it a thought, sleep on it and get back”. But, my mind only hears the ” sleep” part and ignores the rest. When you go to bed, make sure you have no worries, no thoughts that could ruin your sleep. And even if you have any, listening to music does help calm your mind. Sleep is extremely important, cos a sound mind is backed by a good sleep.
3. Take a break
It’s okay to go MIA for a few days. Nothing is more important than you. Do things you love, be it dancing, baking, singing, writing, anything! When you’re happy, your mind is happy too. So, if things ever get too much to handle, take a break. Go for a walk, enjoy the path. Take your mind off things that worry you. Every time I take a walk, I can’t help but wonder the hundred thoughts that must be running on people’s minds around me. That humbles me and makes me think I’m just a speck in this wide world.
I don’t want to bore you with a long post. So, I’m going to stop here. But, before I go I just want to say one thing. I’m here for you if you need anything (my email is always open) and whatever it is that you’re going through, it will not stay the same and it will get better! You matter!
