Quest

On empty roads,
Under a star-less night,
My restless heart is on a quest.

In long pauses
Of lengthy prose,
My eager eyes search for hints!

The mind plays
A trailer of the roving clouds
As if it were a puppet show!

I close my eyes and blow them kisses
And watch them drift off
Like my love!

Oh, my Moon!
Do you ever lose yourself
To the whims and fancies of the world?

And if you were to change it all,
Will you let the world dictate
Or change ’em so they wouldn’t blame the fate?

Note:

Hey, my amazing peeps! Hope everything’s fine at your end. Finally, we have bid goodbye to our dearest 2020! So many things happened last year that I haven’t recovered from the jet lag yet 😉 For a few, it would have been a year of priorities, and for many, it would have been a year of self-discovery. We lost so much and gained a few! A year of losses and pain, but also self-love and warmth. I still can’t believe we are in 2021 and it’s been a week already! I had a bunch of goals for 2020, and writing at least one piece a week was one of them! Of all the goals, that was the only target I had achieved! By doing so, I also gained a bunch of dear ones here which I’m extremely grateful for! Now, that we have waltzed into 2021, I wish everybody a very happy New year! Hope the universe brings you all that you seek!

  1. Its a lovely post especially the lines
    “Oh, my Moon!
    Do you ever lose yourself
To the whims and fancies of the world?”

Indeed we should be like the moon, to accept, to move on and to be the same no matter what. This year has been more mentally exhausting than physically.
